Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and State Attorney Monique Worrell are reigniting a monthslong feud over how violent crime cases are being handled in Central Florida.
Uthmeier released a social media video Tuesday, accusing Worrell of "putting a violent criminal back on the street." He claims her office accepted a plea deal that allowed a man accused of firing a dozen shots at his ex-girlfriend to avoid harsher penalties.
"We again highlight another example of State Attorney Monique Worrell's soft-on-crime policies that are putting the citizens of Central Florida in great danger," Uthmeier said.
