TAWAS CITY, MI — A Michigan woman has been charged with killing her husband.

Shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, police responded to the AuSable Township home of James and Melissa C. Ragen for a shooting. They arrived to find James Ragen, 31, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Emergency personnel pronounced James Regan deceased at 11:13 p.m.

Melissa Ragen, 32, told police she and her husband were arguing when she grabbed a .357-caliber revolver and shot him, according to Iosco County Prosecutor James A. Bacarella.
