WALLINGFORD, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont police searching for an assault and burglary suspect said they found human remains near his home.

Rodney Davis, 62, of Wallingford, was wanted after he allegedly injured a household member and took off into the woods. That was on Sept. 19.

Tuesday, troopers said they discovered remains near Davis’ home on Nash Drive, but they couldn’t positively identify them.

The medical examiner will determine the person’s identity and cause of death.
