COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Resources to improve quality of life are now available in south Columbus as Goodwill opens a new Opportunity Center to help people living in poverty. The goal is to provide free career coaching, GED programming, and several other services.
President and CEO Jack Warden says a large percentage of people who use Goodwill’s career services are from this community. Having the new center on South Lumpkin Road will bring resources directly to the people who need them most.
“Our mission and goal is to help people connect to work — whether it’s building their resume, learning how to properly complete applications, or connecting them to resources they may need,” said Vice President of Mission Services Tricia Llewellyn Konan.
