COLUMBUS, Ohio — Cincinnati Elder is the new No. 1 high school football team in Division I of the Associated Press state poll, released Tuesday after a vote by writers across Ohio.
The Panthers moved up one spot after their 24-16 win last week against Archbishop Moeller, which previously held the No. 1 spot, in Cincinnati. St. Edward is Northeast Ohio’s top team in Division I, checking in at No. 3, followed by Mentor at No. 4.
