Robin Thicke will be the headliner for Cathedral City's 11th annual Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The city council gave the green light for Thicke to headline at the festival during its meeting on Monday, Oct. 6, with a 3-1 vote. Mayor Pro Tem Raymond Gregory was the dissenting vote, citing concerns that included it not being the best use of the city's funds, that changing the headline performance date from Saturday to Friday may impact attendance numbers and cost recuperation, and with how revenue is being split with the festival's operator.
