LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Norton Children’s Hospital has been named the best pediatric hospital in Kentucky for the second year in a row, with national rankings in eight different specialties.

In 2024, the hospital served more than 215,000 patients from Kentucky and Indiana.

Lena Iwu, whose 4-year-old daughter Eleanor was born with Long QT syndrome — a rare condition that causes dangerous heart rhythms — has seen the care firsthand.

"She was born. She went immediately into surgery. So from one O.R. to the other, she went directly into surgery, and then we spent 49 days in the ICU waiting for her to get big enough to get a pacemaker," Iwu said.
