A small-batch ice cream brand known for creative flavors is expanding.

On Monday, Urban Churn Scoop Shop & Bakery held a grand opening celebration at 4902 Louise Drive in Lower Allen Township.

Urban Churn converted a former bank that has housed several restaurants including an Italian establishment and BCB Rossmoyne coffee shop.

Urban Churn specializes in craft ice cream made with all-natural ingredients and no artificial flavorings or colorings.

Founder Adam Brackbill debuted the brand about 12 years ago in a small room at Midtown Cinema in Harrisburg, making ice cream in six-gallon batches.
