EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Many members of the “Spider Nation” rap label have been arrested as part of a drug investigation, deputies said.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the members were allegedly involved in a narcotics trafficking operation within the Belaire neighborhood. The sheriff’s office was contacted by ATF agents in September about the operation.
During the investigation, agents conducted controlled purchases of fentanyl and methamphetamine from several members of the rap label, deputies said. They added that agents also conducted surveillance and identified locations in Baton Rouge and one in Livingston Parish that the group allegedly used for the trafficking operation.
