(WSPA) -- Thousands of patients could lose access to in-network healthcare as Bon Secours continues contract negotiations with health insurer Humana.
Leaders with the healthcare system said the negotiations have been ongoing for months.
Who is impacted?
According to Bon Secours, as many as 16,245 patients could be impacted if an agreement is not reached by January 1, 2026.
Bon Secours providers, offices and urgent care centers would be considered out-of-network for Humana Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage members.
The Bon Secours' St. Francis Downtown and St. Francis Eastside hospitals in Greenville, as well as Roper St. Francis Healthcare providers in Charleston will not be impacted by ongoing negotiations.
