A woman from Meghalaya, in a social media video, claimed that she was subjected to alleged racist comments by groups of men in two incidents in the Capital within a span of hours.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju urged the woman to file a complaint with the North East cell of the Delhi Police.

According to the woman, the two incidents — one that happened in Kamla Nagar and other inside a Delhi Metro train — happened the same day.

In the video, the woman, who identifies herself from Meghalaya, narrates how a group men sitting on a scooter allegedly called her “Ching Chong” as she passed by them in Kamla Nagar. As she turned around, they laughed at her. She then went to a Tibetan shop to pack food, still trying to process what just happened.
