British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will make his first official visit to India on October 8-9 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit reciprocates Modi’s July 2025 visit to London, which, inter alia, saw the signing of the landmark Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
Starmer’s visit marks an optimistic uptick in India-UK economic cooperation at a time when global geopolitics and trade face unprecedented disruptions and uncertainty.
