DALLAS — The Dallas Stars are set to begin a new season with a familiar goal and a fresh voice behind the bench.

After three consecutive trips to the Western Conference Final ended in heartbreak, the Stars made a bold change in the offseason — parting ways with head coach Peter DeBoer and replacing him with Edmonton Oilers assistant Glen Gulutzan .

Unlike Gully's first go-around as Stars head coach, this team is poised for another deep playoff run.

"We have the players. We have the leadership. We have all the intangibles we need," said Stars forward Jason Robertson.

From veteran leadership to playoff experience to roster depth, the Stars check nearly every box of a Stanley Cup contender.
