BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Members of the public, law enforcement officials and advocates attended a human trafficking community awareness training in Bismarck.

Native Inc ., an organization focused on serving Native Americans and underrepresented populations in the state, hosted the event on Tuesday.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Human Trafficking Task Force provided the expertise.

“The idea is to bring awareness to everyone in the community to help learn how to identify human trafficking victims and perpetrators,” said Native Inc. Founder and CEO Lorraine Davis.

The BCI used the phrase, “Your Eyes Save Lives,” meaning that if you see something that could be human trafficking in public, call 911.
