A REACH Air Medical Services helicopter crashed Monday evening on Highway 50 in Sacramento, leaving three crew members in critical condition. The Airbus EC-130 T2 had just departed UC Davis Medical Center after a patient drop-off when it went down near 59th Street. According to Sacramento Fire, the victims—a pilot, nurse, and paramedic—received immediate aid from witnesses before being rushed to UC Davis. The NTSB is now investigating the cause of the Sacramento helicopter crash, which shut down traffic for hours. Officials called it a miracle that no vehicles were struck.
