MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Airports across the country are facing delays amid the government shutdown.
Wisconsinites are wondering if there are potential impacts in Dane County specifically for air traffic controllers and TSA workers.
The Dane County Regional Airport could not answer any of WMTV’s questions because air traffic controllers are essential federal workers.
WMTV was referred to the TSA regional spokesperson. The spokesperson’s voicemail and email said she was out of the office due to the “federal funding hiatus.” WMTV 15 News followed up with the media line and have not heard back.
WMTV is also waiting for a response from the Federal Aviation Administration who said they will have limited communications due to a lapse in funding.
