Shadow communications minister Melissa McIntosh has blasted the federal government for taking more than 18 months to act on recommendations to improve the communications sector.
In March 2024, a review into a November 2023 national Optus outage passed 18 recommendations onto the federal government, aimed at addressing structural issues within the broader telecommunications ecosystem in Australia.
