EAST HAVEN, Conn. — The state of Connecticut has committed $4,816,800 to the town of East Haven for significant roadway and pedestrian improvements to Main Street and Messina Drive.

East Haven Mayor Joseph Carfora announced Monday that the Connecticut Department of Transportation approved East Haven’s Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program application for the grant.

The work will include paving Main Street from Town Hall to the New Have line and paving Messina Drive from Hemingway Avenue to Main Street.
