MIDDLEBURY, Conn. — Neighbors who live near the Route 64 corridor in Middlebury say they’re worried about the area’s infrastructure, and this week, local leaders gave them a chance to speak up.
Community members gathered Tuesday night at the Shepardson Community Center for a public meeting focused on improving safety and accessibility along the busy stretch of Route 64.
The meeting, hosted by the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments, or NVCOG, addressed issues including speeding, poor lighting and missing sidewalks, which most neighbors say makes the traveling experience quite dangerous.
