RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Ridgefield woman is being held on a million-dollar bond after allegedly trying to poison her husband with ethylene glycol, an ingredient in antifreeze.
Kristen Hogan, 33, was arrested Friday and police say she admitted to poisoning her estranged husband.
The victim, who was not named by police, was taken to a hospital in early August. A blood test revealed the presence of ethylene glycol, a poisonous ingredient of antifreeze and other households products, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Police interviewed the victim, who reported drinking some wine from an opened bottle in his home before going to bed on Aug. 10. He said he woke up in the middle of the night and became increasingly ill.
