HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Wahine soccer team is back in town for three matches at home.

The University of Hawaii is now in the thick of the Big West state.

While they haven’t won a match in over a month, they also haven’t lost much either, 5 of their last 7 games have ended in a draw.

Senior forward Krista Peterson says they’re so close to a breakthrough.

Peterson said, “It gets frustrating because we know how good we are, how capable we are of getting dubs. I think in our heads it’s just a matter of taking it game by game, controlling our controlables, and then the rest is going to come together.”

The home slate begins Thursday at 6 p.m. against Cal Poly in Waipio.
