A letter was sent to Parish President Mike Cooper titled, "Notice of intent to terminate security contracts." It would affect security at three main government buildings in St. Tammany Parish.
Lawyer Andrew Capitelli, writing on behalf of St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, said the parish is currently spending $112,000 per year for security at the Towers building in Slidell, and $95,000 per year for security at the parish government complex on Koop Drive.
