2BEL AIR, MD – Two members of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were recognized this week for their exceptional service and leadership at the annual Boumi Shriners First Responders Night in Baltimore.

Corporal Shawn Severn and Deputy First Class Nicholas Raivel received honors for their dedication to community engagement, mentorship, and safety initiatives benefiting Harford County residents.

The ceremony, held to celebrate Maryland’s first responders who go above and beyond the call of duty, highlighted the deputies’ impact both on and off the job.

Severn was recognized for his leadership in the Sheriff’s Office, where he supervises the School Policing Unit, manages the Tobacco Grant program, and serves on the Crisis Negotiation Team.
