BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana leaders are stepping up efforts to make schools safer through collaboration and planning. The state’s K-12 School Safety Task Force met Tuesday to discuss how to turn ideas into real solutions for campuses statewide.
The meeting brought together teachers, architects, and legislators to explore ways to strengthen security and create safer learning environments for students and staff. But as many leaders pointed out, safety often comes with a price tag.
