DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers will soon be playing for their season at a place where they haven’t won in 32 days.
The Tigers’ home woes continued Tuesday night with an 8-4 loss to the Seattle Mariners in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. The Mariners lead the best-of-five series, 2-1, and can advance to the AL Championship Series with a win in Game 4 on Wednesday.
The Tigers have lost eight straight games at Comerica Park. Their last win was on Sept. 6.

The start of the game was delayed two hours and 53 minutes due to rain, dampening the enthusiasm of the sellout crowd of 41,525 orange-towel-waving fans. When the game finally began, there was little to cheer about.
