CINCINNATI —

A concerned neighbor turned out to be the suspect in a string of armed robberies.

Before the man was caught by police, he was interviewed on camera by WLWT News 5 reporter Sean MacKinnon.

The suspect, 27-year-old Tyriq Grays, is connected to multiple robberies. He was arrested on Sept. 29 for allegedly holding a gun to a woman's head in Greenhills.

Just weeks before, he talked with us in Oakley, on camera, about robberies the prosecutor’s office says he's now charged with.

"(Expletive) crazy. You would never expect it over here, though," Grays said. "It's like, it's not the hood."
