PLANO, Texas — Toyota is recalling approximately 55,000 2025 Sienna vehicles in the U.S. over a potential safety issue involving the second-row seats, the automaker said in a news release.

According to Toyota, the recall affects Sienna models with seats mounted on rails that may not have been properly welded. In certain high-speed collisions, the improperly welded seats could fail, increasing the risk of injury to passengers.

Toyota said it will notify all known owners of affected vehicles by early December. Dealers will replace the second-row seat rails with properly welded ones free of charge.

Vehicle owners can check if their Sienna is affected by visiting Toyota.com/recall or NHTSA.gov/recalls and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.
