Thoubal, October 07 2025: Honouring hill-valley unity, the age-old festival of Mera Hou Chongba was celebrated at Wangjing Ningthou Laibung with the participation of different indigenous communities.

Organised by Wangjing Haraoba Thougal Lup, the event witnessed the attendance of Hannah Kahmei, DC, Thoubal; Tekcham Rameshwor, retd Headmaster and Tongbram Babulal, retd lecturer as the presidium members.

Main highlights of the event include, lei langba, pot lanba, mera wa yungba and cultural dance.
