MOREHEAD, Ky. (WKYT) - One person is dead after a car crash on KY 519 at the Morgan and Rowan County line.

Police received the call just before noon Tuesday.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicated 68-year-old Donnie Smith of West Liberty was driving Southbound on KY 519 when he crossed the centerline, hitting several construction barrels before hitting a parked construction truck.

57-year-old Anthony Thomas was inside the construction truck, but was not injured.

Smith was pronounced dead by the Rowan County Deputy Coroner.
