A hidden camera supposedly meant to catch evidence of an affair might have caused even more than the already substantial damage initially thought.

When then-Gov. Jim Justice called a news conference in 2023 to disclose a series of problems unearthed within the West Virginia State Police, one of the most disturbing allegations was that a hidden camera had been placed in the women's locker room of the State Police Academy in Institute.

What's more, Justice said troopers found a thumb drive with footage from that camera stored on it. Once they realized what it was, they took the thumb drive out of the computer, threw it on the floor and stomped on it, destroying the evidence, Justice said.
