It cannot "be ruled out" that the death of a Lockyer Valley woman — whose husband has been charged with her murder — was an accident, a forensic pathologist has told a Queensland court.
Former Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) pilot Robert John Crawford has been charged with the 2024 murder of his wife, Frances Crawford. Prosecutors allege he then staged her death as a ride-on lawnmower accident.
Emergency services were called to the family's rural property in Upper Lockyer, west of Brisbane, in the early hours of July 30 last year.
Ms Crawford, a Toowoomba psychologist, was found dead at the bottom of a retaining wall near the lawnmower.
Her husband was arrested soon after, and has been on bail since May this year.
A two-day committal hearing is being held in Ipswich Magistrates Cour
