It took seven rounds of penalty kicks, but eighth-seeded Mendham held off ninth-seeded Hanover Park, 4-3, in the second round of the Morris County Tournament in Mendham.
The two teams were tied 0-0 through regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods.
Maeve Robbins made 14 saves for Mendham (6-6-1) while Sabrina Casola had eight for Hanover Park (7-3-1).
Mendham plays top-seeded Morris Knolls, No. 18 in the NJ.com Top 20, in the quarterfinal on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
