A man has died after a public place shooting in Sydney’s north-west on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services were called to Annaluke Street, Riverstone, north of The Ponds, following reports of a shooting about 6pm.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene, however, he died from gunshot wounds.
Officers from the Riverstone area command attended to a man suffering gunshot wounds. He was treated by paramedics, who were unable to revive him, and died at the scene.
Police began establishing the crime scene when, about 15 minutes later, they were called to nearby Riverstone Road, Riverstone, after reports of a car fire.
NSW Fire and Rescue extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle was destroyed.
Police established a second crime scene and are investigating whether the incidents are linked.
