The high school flag football season in Georgia kicked off last week, and the excitement level is in high in the Greater Savannah area as several teams are looking to make deep playoff runs.

Jenkins is coming off a run to the state semifinals, while South Effingham, New Hampstead and Calvary Day reached the state quarterfinals last year.

St. Vincent's and Richmond Hill reached the second round of the state playoffs, while Effingham County, Woodville-Tompkins and Savannah High also made playoff appearances last season.
