For the last few days there has been an intensifying debate around privacy in Arattai, the viral app from Zoho. The app, which has been touted as a challenger to WhatsApp, is a fully-functional messaging app. Although, its critics have jumped onto one missing component in it: the lack of end-to-end encryption. This is a feature that WhatsApp and Signal offer but Arattai lacks. Arattai leadership has highlighted again and again that end-to-end encryption for the app is in the works and will roll out soon. But the privacy debate rages on.
