CHICAGO (WLS) -- Texas National Guard troops were expected to be deployed to the Broadview ICE processing center Wednesday evening, law enforcement sources told the ABC7 I-Team.

The Illinois National Guard Joint Force Headquarters was informed on Tuesday that the Texas National Guard will provide security for the Broadview ICE facility starting Wednesday "evening," but no further details were provided.

Operations were starting to unfold Wednesday at the Army Reserve Training center in the southwest suburb of Elwood as the National Guard prepares for deployment.

Meanwhile, anti-federal deployment protesters held a rally Wednesday evening downtown Chicago before marching on city streets and impacting traffic.
