YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Week eight of the high school football season is upon us.

Four days of football in the area, kicks off with Mooney and Harding from Mollenkopf Stadium on Thursday. Northeast 8 clash features Poland and Girard on Friday as well as Alliance versus West Branch in an EBC tilt as well as the MVAC Scarlet Tier encounter between Mineral Ridge battling Springfield.

Here’s a rundown of games scheduled to take place this weekend:

Thursday, Oct. 9 Hickory (6-1) at Grove City (4-3) -The Hornets have defeated Grove City in 7 of the past eight meetings since 2020. The Eagles have fallen in both of their last two outings. Hickory makes the trek to Forker Field after dominating Titusville, 48-10, after the tough loss they suffered in Canfield.
