Zubeen Garg Golden Temple: The proposed temple aims to immortalise the singer’s legacy and become a cultural landmark for Assam.

Fans across Assam continue to pay heartfelt tributes to the music legend Zubeen Garg in every possible way. In a remarkable gesture, Dispur MLA Atul Bora today wrote to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, proposing the construction of a “Zubeen Garg Golden Temple” on 50 bighas of land around his gravesite in Kamarkuchi, Sonapur, on the outskirts of Guwahati.

Bora urged the government to utilise all available state land for the project and suggested that the remaining funds be raised through public donations. “Whatever the government can provide, let it provide,” Bora stated, requesting that the Chief Minister sanction a formal scheme for the memorial.
