ELLIJAY, Ga. - We’re just days away from the start of this year’s Georgia Apple Festival — which means Gilmer County businesses are stocking their shelves with enough apple-themed goodies to keep doctors away for decades!

The 2025 Georgia Apple Festival will take over the Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday (the 11th and 12th) and next Saturday and Sunday (the 18th and 19th), continuing a tasty tradition that stretches back more than 50 years. The annual event serves as a celebration of Gilmer County’s place as Georgia’s "Apple Capital," with orchards throughout the region producing nearly two dozen varieties of the popular fruit.
