In August, the members of Calgary’s Shy Friend put out the call for freaks.

It was in service of the band’s ridiculously catchy new single, Freaky Nightmare, a song gamely described in press materials as “a declaration of joyful weirdness — an invitation to be cringe, be free, and get _freakay_.”

To that end, the band held court at a skate park in Calgary’s southwest after putting out the call and shot a video for the song involving the motley crew that showed up.
