Kolkata: Advance Agrolife and Om Freight Forwarders were among the companies that were the last ones to offer mainboard IPOs in September, which was a record month in terms of number of new issues in this century. Advance Agrolife shares made a strong debut on the bourses while Om Freight Forwarders suffered losses on listing. Let’s have a more detailed look.

Advance Agrolife’s shares listed at Rs 114 on the NSE and at Rs 113 at BSE, thereby generating a 14% return. The upper end of the Advance Agrolife IPO price band was Rs 100. Double-digit gains on listing is a significant gain for investors on the very first day. Moreover, the GMP levels, which indicated a gain of 13% was uncannily accurate as borne out by the listing price.
