Hyderabad: Light rain lashed several parts of Hyderabad on Wednesday afternoon and thundershowers, intense spells will likely continue in some parts of the GHMC area during the next 2-3 hours, India Meteorological Department said in its forecast.

Heavy rainfall is also likely in Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts of Telangana.

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph is very likely at some places in Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy on Wednesday, IMD said.

Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds will also occur over the next few days.
