SPINK COUNTY, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Two people were injured and one died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, 19 miles north of Huron, SD.

Preliminary information indicates that a 2003 Ford F150 pulling a camper was traveling north on SD Highway 37 when it collided with a 2012 Freightliner box truck heading south.

The Ford ended up in the east ditch, while the Freightliner came to rest on the shoulder of the northbound lane.

The driver of the Ford sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries and his passenger suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Freightliner died from his injuries.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
