EAST LYME, CT (WFSB) - A man from Coventry was arrested for operating a limousine scam, according to police in East Lyme.
Mitch Kloter, 25, was charged with telephone fraud and operating a livery service without a permit.
Kloter was the subject of an I-Team investigation last month .
Police said that in July 2025, an East Lyme resident found an advertisement for a limousine service on Facebook.
The resident called the posted phone number and made plans to be picked up at their home and transported to an airport.
The victim paid in advance.
“On the day of the trip, the limousine did not arrive,” East Lyme police said in their report. “After several attempts to get a refund, the victim reported the incident to the East Lyme police.“
