CADILLAC, MI - A boy was stabbed and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance Tuesday night after police were called to check on a large group of juveniles.
Cadillac Police said their officers were sent to the 600 block of E. North Street about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
"Upon arrival, officers located the large group. One juvenile male subject that was located had suffered stab wounds," police said.
Other witnesses on scene told officers another boy had stabbed the victim, then that suspect ran away.
Police said they later took the juvenile suspect into custody.
“This appears to be an isolated event. There is not believed to be a threat to the public,” police said.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, he was turned over to the Wexford County Probate Court.
