ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions are in a great spot through five games.

Dan Campbell thinks they have a ton of room to grow and have the hallmarks of a great team. The Lions are 4-1, sitting atop the NFC North and tied for the top spot in the conference, putting the nightmares of the ugly opener against the Green Bay Packers in the rearview.

They have won four straight since dropping that opener against the Packers. Detroit has beaten the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals since. Campbell’s team has won 13 straight games against teams with a .500 or worse record, always taking care of business against opponents they should beat.

But with injuries to the team’s top two cornerbacks and a grueling five-game gauntlet ahead, they are going to have to go
