Jets superstar winger Kyle Connor has signed a long-term deal to stay in Winnipeg.
The team announced Wednesday it has agreed to terms with Connor on an eight-year contract extension for $96 million (an average annual value of $12 million).
The 28-year-old was the Jets' first-round pick (17th overall) in the 2015 NHL draft and has become one of the league's elite scorers. Last season he led the team in points (97) and assists (56) while playing in all 82 regular season games.
He also played all 13 post-season games for the Jets, leading the club in points (17) and assists (12). His five goals tied for the team high.
