Fans’ dream of seeing a wax statue of Assam’s beloved son and cultural icon Zubeen Garg at London’s famed Madame Tussauds Museum may soon turn into reality.
The demand for the same is gaining momentum with Ratan Sharma, president of the Rajasthan Foundation (Assam Chapter), writing to the museum’s London office proposing the installation of the legendary singer’s statue.
In his proposal, Sharma emphasised Zubeen Garg’s immense influence as a singer, composer, and a voice of the masses who was a champion of Assamese and Northeast Indian culture holding it before a global audience.
