Mary J. Blige will take her recent triumphant hometown New York City show to the big screen with her upcoming concert film For My Fans, Live From Madison Square Garden .

The singer’s first-ever concert movie was filmed in April during her sold-out gig at the World’s Most Famous Arena. The film is set for release in theaters for two nights only, Nov. 5 and 8.

“Being able to share this moment globally with my fans, who can experience this together in a movie theater, is more special than I can put into words,” Blige said in a statement ( via The Associated Press ). “This tour was always for my fans, and being able to make this into a movie for them means the world.”
