Mary J. Blige is bringing her artistry to the big screen. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has announced the release of her first concert film , Mary J. Blige: For My Fans , which is set to hit theaters next month.

“Being able to share this moment globally with my fans, who can experience this together in a movie theater, is more special than I can put into words,” expressed the 54-year-old in a statement per the Associated Press . “This tour was always for my fans and being able to make this into a movie for them means the world.”

According to AP, the feature will highlight the singer’s storied career through multiple performances from each decade, behind-the-scenes footage, and surprise guest appearances. Parts of the film were recorded at her sold-out show this April at Madison Sq
